Gregory Bunza, DDS
General Dentistry

Dr. Bunza is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dental Medicine at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, Section of Adult Dentistry, Division of Operative Dentistry and an Assistant Attending at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center where his responsibilities include directing the General Practice Residency Program. This program provides dental care for developmentally disabled, geriatric, and medically compromised patients. Dr. Bunza also is on the Medical Staff of the Isabella Geriatric Center.

Dr. Bunza is a member of the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry and was selected as one of America’s Cosmetic Doctors and Dentists by the Castle Connolly Guide.

Vicky Evangelidis-Sakellson, DDS MPH

John H. Evans, D.D.S.
Prosthodontist

Dr. Evans is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry in the Division of Prosthodontics at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. He is a member of several national dental organizations and has contributed extensively to the dental literature. Dr. Evans has taught prosthetic dentistry for almost fifteen years. He is an Assistant Attending at New York Presbyterian Medical Center and also the Assistant Director of Maxillofacial Prosthetics at the Bronx Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He has provided prosthodontics care at the Faculty Practice since 1996. His main focus is prosthodontics where he uses his expertise on the replacement aspect of fixed and removable restorations, including implants. He also uses his training and experience in Maxillofacial Prosthetics, to help restore and provide oral function and health for patients who are undergoing chemo- and radiation therapies and also the rehabilitation of acquired and developmental defects through prosthetic repair.

James Burke Fine, D.M.D.
Practice limited to Periodontics

Dr. Fine is presently Assistant Dean for Postdoctoral Education, Associate Professor of Clinical Dentistry and Postdoctoral Director of Periodontics at the College of Dental Medicine of Columbia University and Associate Attending Dental Surgeon on the Presbyterian Hospital Dental Service. Dr. Fine became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology in 1993. He has participated extensively in the educational program, teaching dental students during all four years of their education and postdoctoral students in all three years of their master’s training programs. He has served on the American Academy of Periodontology committees including the Research, Science and Therapy Committee.

Dr. Fine has been the recipient of several teaching awards and fellowships at Columbia. He has been a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator in funded research projects and he has authored or co-authored numerous articles, chapters and abstracts in the periodontal literature including co-authoring the text, Clinical Guide to Periodontics. He provides services in Implant Dentistry, Periodontics and Oral Medicine at the faculty practice.

Roseanna Graham, D.D.S.
Dr. Graham is a full-time Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in the Division of Restorative Dentistry. She is the director of the 3rd year Diagnosis and Treatment Planning Course and a Pathophysiology small group leader. She works extensively with first, second, and third year students in their preclinical and clinical programs. She was named Outstanding General Practitioner of her graduating dental school class and was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society representing the top 10% of graduating students.

Kunal Lal, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Lal is presently the Program Director of the Post Doctoral Prosthodontic’s Residency Program and Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at the College of Dental Medicine of Columbia University. Dr. Lal is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. He is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontics, Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics, and the New York Academy of Dentistry.

Dr. Lal specializes in implant, esthetic, and reconstructive dentistry. He has received state and national awards, as well as authored scientific papers on the use of computer generated surgical templates for prosthodontic and surgical implant planning and placement.

Dennis A. Mitchell, DDS, MPH
General Dentistry

Dr. Mitchell is the Associate Dean for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, as well as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry, at Columbia University’s College of Dental Medicine. He has contributed extensively to the dental literature and has taught public health dentistry for nearly two decades. Dr. Mitchell’s wide-ranging professional activities have led to his selection for numerous awards and speaking engagements, including his current role as a weekly contributor to the nationally syndicated Steve Harvey Morning Show. In this capacity, Dr. Mitchell serves as an oral health spokesperson to the Morning Show’s listening audience. Dr. Mitchell and his wife, Bridgette, are the proud parents of two daughters.

Ronnie Myers, DDS

Dr. Myers is the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and an Associate Professor of Clinical Dentistry at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Myers has been in dental education and private practice since 1980 and a full time faculty member at Columbia University since 1982. Dr. Myers is currently a member of the New York State Board of Dentistry, is an Educational Consultant to the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners, is a fellow of the American College of Dentists and has served as a consultant to the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Panos N. Papapanou, DDS, PhD
Periodontics and Implant Dentistry

Dr. Papapanou is Professor of Dental Medicine, Chair of the Section of Oral and Diagnostic Sciences, and Director of the Division of Periodontics, Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. He is internationally recognized for his research in the epidemiology of periodontal diseases, the assessment of microbial and host-derived risk factors, the pathobiology of periodontitis and its role in atherosclerosis, stroke and pregnancy complications. He is the recipient of the Jens Waerhaug Research Prize of the Scandinavian Society of Periodontology (1988), the 1st Anthony A. Rizzo Young Investigator Award of the International Association of Dental Research (1996), the Walther-Engel Award of the Academy for Graduate Dental Education, Karlsruhe, Germany (1998) and the Clinical Research Award and the Outstanding Educator Award of the American Academy of Periodontology (2007). He is member of the advisory board of several scientific journals, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and a Past President of the Periodontal Research Group of the International Association of Dental Research.

Dr. Margherita Santoro is the Postdoctoral Program Director of the Division of Orthodontics and Associate Professor of Orthodontics at Columbia University College of Medicine.
